Fans of Juno/Ellen Page!

THE women in Film!!!!!!!!

(some of my favs)

Ellen Page will be starring in the next production of "Jane Eyre."

I always love to compare movie productions, so the more versions out there, the

better...

For more info, see www.firstshowing.net or www.eonline.com.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The Versatile Amy!
If you haven't yet seen "Baby Mama," try to see it.  Amy seems to be as versatile
as Sarah Michelle Gellar used to be when she first surfaced.  I would love to see her
branch out even more.  I do love seeing her on SNL, though....
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Kristen Bell!

Another favorite star of mine!

Read a great interview with Kristen in Interview Magazine! (www.interviewmagazine.com)

Something you may know or not know....

She is the voice - over narrator for "Gossip Girl."

Interviewer: None other than Diablo Cody (Fans of Juno, you know who she is!)

I would like to see more press on her, however, or have her appear frequently in

various programs almost as frequently, if not more, than Susan Ward, who recently

appeared in "Women's Murder Club."

Women in Film rock!!!  Some of our young stars are really going into stardom bigtime!!!

Film/Networking Community!

For those of you who believe in collaboration and networking, this is a good opportunity to put your resources together and help those in a common endeavor.

For years, an organization has worked to provide classic films to the community and has maintained a wide following.

Now they need help to find a new center or place where they can continue their work.  Columbia College can no longer  help them as they once did in the past.

The Chicago Sun Times wrote about this problem this past week.

Let's see what we can do to come up with good ideas for a great organization devoted to film and the arts.

www.latinoculturalcenter.org

Either contact them at the site above or email me about what we can do.

I can also give you the info I read in the Times.

Thanks!

Other News!

Any Matrix fans out there?!  (or people who follow Keanu Reeves!!!!)

The brothers known for their work on the Matrix films are going

to be working in Chicago at a center in Ravenswood.

It was in the Sun Times yesterday, I believe.  A lot of people are psyched about this!

The brothers, Andy and Larry Wachowski, are opening a post - production studio at

5645 N. Ravenswood.  They will most probably be concentrating on their next

project, "Speed Racer."  Read all about it in the Chicago Sun - Times.

They need all ages.

Men need to have long hair.

Film Buffs & Readers/Writers!

Vanity Fair (March 2008) has a great article on the making of a classic film, "The Graduate."  Also, if you are a fan of Hitchcock's, you will find an interesting photo shoot in which some of our favorite celebs participated.

The link above also features some greats in film history and some actors and actresses (celebs) in whom we are currently interested.

Keep reading!
